Several of Musk’s backers are either fellow billionaires or major venture capital firms. It’ll be interesting to see whether or not they’re still prepared to back Musk’s bid , given the fact two investigations are now underway . If proven to be true , then the Justice Department could seek to bring federal charges against Elon Musk.
There was always something dubious about Elon Musk began gathering his stake in Twitter before making his outright bid. Now all of a sudden both the SEC ( Securities & Exchange Commission) and FTC (Federal Trade Commission) have begun separate investigations into Musk’s gathering of his initial stake and then building up that stake before launching his $44.1 billion bid.
The South African born American citizen , Elon Muak has always been ethically challenged from a business standpoint and has come under the scrutiny of the SEC once before. Their findings proved to be troubling , but Musk was merely warned about his conduct. I’d like to know how falsifying your business records before an IPO (initial public offering) isn’t seen as a major felony? Are the idiots running the SEC that frigging stupid ?

Far be it for me to suggest, but I believe that the White Collar Crime Units of both the FBI as well as the US Justice Department should now be investigating Elon Musk and how he went about building up his initial stock buying of Twitter . The company has seen it’s share price fall by more than 30 % , wiping off more than $ 9 billion from market capitalization. Musk has now placed a hold on his outright buying of the company.

With this bid being put on hold by Elon Musk , it will be interesting to see what excuses will now be put in place by the billionaire . Musk claims that he’ll have investigators look into claims that Twitter makes use of bots as part of their algorithmic panacea for the social media platform site.
What is now looking certain, it is the very fact Elon Musk might well be having second thoughts on the whole takeover. If he does pull put of the bid , then it could cost him in excess of $1 billion . Granted, that’s a small price to pay for someone who’s worth in excess of $230 billion . Yet Musk is also answerable to his consortium of bidders for the social media platform company.
As a waiting game begins it will be interesting to see how things pan out.

While his fortune will continue to grow , I truly believe that Elon Musk remains a disingenuous individual who’s not only ethically challenged, but also morally challenged.
Musk is very much in a similar vein of Uber co founder Travis Kalanick , whose fall from grace from his company has been well chronicled. Kalanick became conceited , much to the chagrin of the board members of Uber , notably billionaire venture capitalist Bill Gurley and the venture capital arm of Google, Google VC.
Kalanick and several of his co executives were not only misogynistic, but Travis Kalanick failed in his ethical and moral responsibilities , in making sure drivers for Uber passed a strict criminal background check. Several of the drivers for the company, had serious felonies, as part of their background , notably murder as well as sexual battery (rape).
Somehow, this was never thoroughly investigated by the media (television or print) or by Uber , itself. . The story seemed to be all about the quick rise of Uber and its multi billion market capitalization value.
At the height of it’s valuation , Uber was said to be worth more than $55 billion . Travis Kalanick and Elon Musk are very much alike , both men have very little respect for business ethics and it’s become abundantly clear that Musk’s stalling of his bid for Twitter may well now have more to do with the fact two federal agencies , Federal Trade Commission and Securities & Exchange Commission are conducting separate investigations into his conduct, in his build up of stock in Twitter , before launching his unsolicited $44.1 billion bid for the social media platform company .
