Tophatal’s ‘Joint’ of The Day …………..
They say it’s the sincerest form flattery and that’s to take an idea of someone else’s and then try to improve on it all. In this case it’s my shout-out to the boys of ‘Too Old For Maxim Too Young For Esquire’ . E’s (Erik) Song of The Day is somewhat of the inspiration behind this all. And for me when I’m at work and poring over financials, I find that the best way for me to work, is to have some music playing. Be it rap, rock , jazz , r & b or reggae. It adds to the ambiance of my surrounding and my work environment.
In light of Valentine’s Day having just passed this is also for the girlfriend Mae-Lin. It’s UGK’s ‘Players’ Anthem (I Choose You)’ feat’g Anrdre’ 3000 and Big Boi of Outkast.

Spent the time with her and she brought me a puppy . Which essentially I’ve no real use for but I’m in an awkward position because refusing the gift would no doubt offend her. I’ve named him ‘Buster’. It’s a German mixed Labrador.

Tried to comment of your post about the Yanks but the system just wouldn’t let me. However…..if there was a real salary cap for MLB….wonder if George and hiz boyz would have that kinda team…..mebbe the Nuttings could field a semblence of a pro baseball team…..nah, that still wouldn’t work.

There’s only so many hours in the day that one can spend surfing for ‘porn’. And I guess when the members of Congress and the Senate have that much time on their hands. Then that’s how they spend it ? Because God knows they’re not spending it doing anything worthwhile in either houses of the Federal legislature.
As to MLB and the situation of the Yankees and the monies they have at their disposal. I don’t begrudge them that for one minute. But what I will agree with you on , is that the Bud Selig and the game’s hierarchy has to do something soon before the game changes irrevcably wherein it’ll just favor the big money market teams. The balance as it is now , is so skewered towards those teams that they are immediately favored at the start of the season.
There’s no real chance that we would ever see the likes of the Royals, Twins , Padres or even the Astros ever make the World Series .

The day came and went satisfactorily. The only unfortunate part of it all was the putrid sports events that were part of the weekend. The NBA All Star Game and its surrounding festivities was a complete joke and the Daytona 500 was an utter bore ! 43 cars racing over a pot-hole isn’t my idea of competitive auto-racing. But I guess for those who love the sport of NASCAR ……it’s as they say ‘whatever floats your boat’ ?
