So LeBron James wants to become a global marketing icon ? I’m not at a loss to hear this as I’ve always thought it somewhat prophetic to hear many of the NBA’s biggest stars liken themselves as the next big thing in their own way.

As it now stands James is leading, as only he can. He has the fans there in Cleveland eating out of his hands. And across the league he’s either liked or disliked as the case may be. Somehow I’d hazard a guess that were he on a team supported by the naysayers then their resolve and attitude might be somewhat different.. I’m not an apologist for James as he’s entitled to attain the riches that the game and the NBA has to offer.

Now as the game stands and the desires of the NBA and their wish to see the resurrection of the franchise. It begs the question will James succumb to the temptations and the allure of the Knicks’ organization and in particular the Big Apple. Truth they say is stranger than fiction. And if there’s any truth being told then is it coming from the lips of the player or from those who only wish to create the rumors that’ll further drive the story ?

But for the moment it is Boston whom the rest of the Eastern Conference are chasing in terms of conference supremacy. The Orlando Magic this season under the leadership of Dwight Howard are making some noise within the conference. And their record speaks for itself as it’s now the second best within the conference percentage wise.
