You Play The Game To Win …. Why The Dallas Cowboys Are A Bunch of Emasculated Pu_sies !

The fallout from the weekend’s playoff games aren’t that seismic. There were no coaching casualties. But then again both Wade Phillips and Norv Turner were never in any real danger of losing their jobs. And that’s despite the ‘pi_s poor performances’ of their respective teams . The San Diego Charger’s unexpected 17-14 loss to the New York Jets at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego , was as bad as it gets.

Lacking in class is nothing new to the Cowboys or their player, Keith Brooking, for that matter !

For their part the Dallas Cowboys as an organization shows us essentially how disorganized they are. On the outside looking in, the Cowboys may well seem a semblance of a well ran machine. But that’s the furthest thing from the truth. Nothing epitomized that more than the gutless act of Cowboys’ defensive player, Keith Brooking and his vapid verbal attack on the Minnesota Vikings as they scored what would be the final score of the game. I was always under the impression that it was the opposition’s task as the defensive team to stop that the offense of their opponents ? But a bitch ass wimp such as Brooking complains that the Vikings were being ‘bush league’ by running up the score ? How about ‘Brooking and his teammates trying to stop the Vikings’ , instead of complaining like a kid who’d just wet himself in front of his friends and was embarrassed by what’d taken place ? The 34-3 win by the Minnesota Vikings was something that showed us how ill prepared the Cowboys were for this game in the Metrodome. Brooking showed why it is that the Cowboys as a team are a listless and rudderless sea vessel. There’s ‘no leadership on this team’ and what’s even more glaring is that the coaching isn’t that great to begin with. Wade Phillips for all of his presence is extremely lucky to still be in the position as coach of the Dallas Cowboys. That’s probably due to the fact that there isn’t a viable candidate out there to assume the position. The reason I say that, is because neither Bill Cowher, Jon Gruden, Tony Dungy or any other college coach who’s ready for the jump to the NFL would simply have the patience to work alongside or under Jerry Jones. The Cowboys’ owner simply isn’t someone who takes to being told what to do.

If there’s to be an upheaval then it may well happen within the San Diego Chargers’ organization. It’s unlikely that we’ll see Dainian Tomlinson in a Chargers’ uniform next season. What has been an illustrious career with the team will now come to an end. As to whether or not we’ll see Tomlinson playing for another team remains to be seen. Chargers’ GM A J Smith has a great deal to assess, as far as the roster is concerned. This loss wasn’t just about the Chargers’ failure as a team but the mere fact that when pressured this team just didn’t show any resolve or resilience. But it also showed that the coaching staff itself , didn’t prepare the team for the onslaught of the Rex Ryan coached Jets would throw at the Chargers.

On a more disturbing note , the Chicago Bears’ defensive player Gaines Adams died at the age of 26, from an apparent heart attack. Adams often the bone of contention amongst most Buccaneers’ fans here in local market. As he struggled to make his presence felt here as a player. With him being a first round pick in the NFL Draft of 2007 by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers , he was traded to the Chicago Bears, early this past season. He’d ran the wrath of Bucs’ coach Raheem Morris for not being productive and lacking knowledge of the team’s playbook. His playing time with the Bears was further reduced and if anything his struggles merely continued. It just seems so strange to see the number of NFL players who seem to have something of an untimely demise over the last few years. Thankfully this tragedy didn’t take place on the field of play but even so, this is a loss that will be felt across the entire fraternity of the NFL. Especially for someone as young as Gaine Adams , a player whose life was taken far too soon.

On the evolutionary scale there’s not much difference between the Chargers’ fan and that of a Raiders’ fan. They’re both liable to bitch and whine even in a loss thinking about their own self importance. Nothing more was more self evident than in the post game interviews by Philip Rivers and LaDainian Tomlinson. Each of them were in need of a pacifier just to stop the tears from shedding.

  1. While I found the Chargers’ loss to the Jets a bit of surprise…it showed that they had no defense for a determined Jets team…seems that they were relying on their “rep”, ala the Steelers in their 5 losses.
The failure of the Boys is just another chapter in their histroy….game over…another TD? So what is the beef?? That’s why the game is played. Cowboys played lousy on both sides of the ball…get over it.
As to Adams untimely death….I read that he died because of an “enlarged heart” which does cause a heart attack…..condition is highly treatable if diagnosed early enough…..have a friend who has survived quite a number of years with the condition. It used to be called “athlete’s heart”…heart is too large to create “blood pressure”….ah RIP.

The Cowboys alongside Jerry Jones believes in their own importance to the NFL . Theirs is the mantra that without ‘them’ the NFL would be absolutely nothing. Which in reality it’s the exact opposite , as with the Cowboys it just goes to show that you can’t dress up a ‘sow’ and call it a pig.

Were this any other time and there were more viable coaches out there. Wade Phillips would’ve been immediately ‘fired’ by Jerry Jones after this debacle. But Jones now knows that he needs continuity in the coach’s position and not the constant upheaval that we’ve all been witness to over the last few years.

I for one minute don’t doubt the fact that the two best teams left in the NFC ought to be fighting it out for the right to a Superbowl berth. What I’m continually sick of is the supposed hype as to how good the Cowboys are . They’re good but nowhere near as great , much less in the same class as either the Saints or Vikings .

Romo can make all the excuses he wants but he’s no Staubach or Troy Aiken for that matter. He’s not even good enough to even lace up either of those players’ jockstraps (protective cup) !

He probably is however good enough to smell the odor emanating from both as well as that of his teammates’ .
